How to say Hawaii in Japanese~?

Mickey asked:

I’m going on a trip to Hawaii for my mom’s and my soon-to-be step dad’s wedding. I’m going to be wearing a shirt with Kanji characters that spells Hawaii. But just in case if someone asks what does it say, I’ll need to know how to pronounce “Hawaii” in japanese

    1. There is no kanji for Hawaii. It’s written in katakana as ハワイ.

    2. It’s pronounced the exact same way as in English. Hah wah E.

    — Is a good Hawaiian food Restaurant.

Anyway, like typed before by another person, there is no Kanji for Hawaii. Why is this? It is because Hawaii is not a Japanese word, if is a foreign word than it will be in Katakana. Hiragana and Kanji are for japanese words.

Hawaii is pronounced the same way people in the mainland say it.
