I need an original idea for wedding favors please help! My colors are celadon(lt green) cream and chocolate?
vividcaramel asked:
I need somethings to shove into little gold boxes. Or a new idea. This is a winter wedding in November. My tables are chocolate. So I need something that will delight my guests. Something that they will use and not waste my time and money leaving it on the table. My fiance and I dont have to many things that say ‘we’. (ex. Sci-fi films, videogames, hawaii, traveling, music, art, eating, reading, relaxing, working) Also not very expensive. Sounds too hard doesn’t it?

I used tiny salt and pepper shakers with a ribbon tied around it… the little message on the tag said – a sprinkle of spice and a dash of love… thank you for sharing our wedding day. I loved it… VERY inexpensive.

Lets see, I had a friend that put Krispy Kreme glazed dohnuts in small boxes for hers and the guest loved them. I then read that Gwen Staffani did the same thing. My neighbor does wedding invitations. She showed me allot since I am soon to plan a wedding. I saw a small candle that smelled awesome with a ribbon and a quote about the couple. Niether of these really did it for me so I too am still on the search. Good Luck!

Ok I think you can find the perfect favor on one of these sites I have attached. If you are not already using The Knot for ideas, then you need to. Its a lifesaver! Very, very helpful so far in planning my wedding. I hope one of these sites help, they have the cutest ideas!

I like the personalized match box books. They are nice and everyone uses matches it seems! Or maybe you could do some small picture frames.

If you and your fiance both like eating and art, maybe you can combine the two into unique favors for the wedding. You could scan a postcard or photograph of a favorite painting and print copies to wrap little boxes of truffles (two per guest should do it) and top the boxes off in celadon ribbon. It’s time consuming, but you could also make the truffles yourself rather cheaply. Cost of paper, printer ink, ribbon, boxes and truffle ingredients.
Who doesn’t like chocolate? Not too many people.

go w/ something edible. you and your fiance could make batches of cookies (with the help of friends and family). use a family recipe.
include a recipe card and a little label “made w/ love by …..”
very cute. plus- no one is going to throw away cookies!

Glass perfume bottles. The ones made in Egypt are handmade and hand painted and not too expensive.

Do you already have the little gold boxes? If not, here’s a great idea I got from a wedding I went to last year.
The couple burned a CD of their favorite songs…the songs actually “told the story” of their courtship. Under each song heading was a little caption of why that song was significant. (“He surprised me for my birthday with a trip to the lake. While we were out on the boat, he proposed to me.” yada, yada, yada) The CD cover was a picture of them. You can create a CD cover through your computer adding whatever colors you choose. The CDs themselves you can get in bulk at Costco, Sams Club, Office Max, etc.
Good luck!

edible is the way to go..
Otherwise, I also saw very cute cheap leather bookmarks that have a place for a photo… rather than a photo you can slide in little thank you notes (printed off the computer)
Here is an example of one but do a search and you can probably find a ton!

SOUNDS LIKE IT’S GOING TO BE A “MINTY FRESH” WEDDING. LOL….ONE IDEA IS TO HAVE SOME DINNER CANDY/CHOCOLATES ORDERED WITH BOTH YOUR NAMES ON THE WRAPPERS. ANOTHER THING TO OFFER GUESTS IS A CD OF SAY 8-10 OF THE COUPLES FAVORITE LOVE SONGS.YOU CAN FIND SOMEONE WITH A CD BURNER TO MAKE THE CDS AND HAVE THE COVER MADE WITH A SPECIAL WEDDING MESSAGE ON A LT GREEN BACKGROUND.EVERYONE LOVES MUSIC AND THEY WON’T GO TO WASTE.
