I am getting Married in Hawaii in June. I really like both of these dresses but am torn becasue they are so different.
We are planning on a beach wedding.
Please keep in mind that the 2nd dress isn’t fitted. I need a bigger size and it’s not zipped.
I will also be wearing a small viel, hair up, with the viel under my hair just covering the top 3/4 of my back. I will also have a small, tightly woven boquet.
My Fiance will be in kahki pants and a white shirt. We may have leis as well.
So I need your opinions!
Thank you for all of your help!!

The #1 is better

I think both are pretty if you were getting married in a church I would do dress #1. For a wedding in Hawaii I would do dress #2. The first one is more formal and your fiancee is wearing Khaki more casual so go with #2.

Are these the only 2 choices in the whole area??? I’d look again. Somewhere else and then come back to these 2 if you need to. Can you wear this dress out to dinner?? Think about using it again, for an anniversary.

I like #1. It is a beautiful dress on you. I love the train (sp) on it. It is classy and georgeous.
It doesn’t matter what you fiance will be wearing…this is your day girl. Go for it!

oo both of these are beautiful dresses, but, while i do realize that the 2nd is not yet fitted, i cant help but adore the 1st one, even though i love the back of the 2nd one enormously, hmm, i personally am going to say that i think you should buy the 1st of the two, CONGRAGULATIONS ON YOUR WEDDING!

I REALLY like the first one the best. The only thing I worry about is it getting really dirty on the beach. But by far it even looked better on you than the second one. I would go with the first one. VERY PRETTY

The first dress is beautiful, but it sounds like you’re having a laid back wedding considering what you’re fiance is wearing. Perhaps a beach wedding? I think that once the second dress is fitted and whatnot, it will be perfect for your Hawaii wedding!

If I had to choose a dress for a beach wedding it would be the second one although both are much too nice for a beach wedding. Can you maybe find a nice silk gown so the sand wouldnt damage a lot of the dress at the bottom or so the sand didnt become an irritant?. Also will you be wearing shoes and if your getting so dressed up why not your fiancee??? But both dresses are beautiful great selections.

I like the first dress. very nice. what about having a tropical look. maybe a short wedding dress instead of long. try and look for one like this. it would be more practical I think on the beach. but you had to choose one of these dresses I would go for no. 1 dress and congratulations.

The 2nd dress will go better with what the groom is wearing and has a causal elegance. You will still look great but not over dressed

As a man, I like #1.
You should also consider how hot it is going to be on the beach…..temperature wise that is…..I’m sure you’ll look hot in either dress

if you are going to be on the beach I would choose dress #2 due to fact it shorter and wont drag int he sand as much and it is lighter….it is going to be hot darling and you are going to want to be comfortable! you might even want to find a dress without a train so it will not get ruined from the sand! But all in all they both are BEAUTIFUL dresses!

I really like dress number 1, but if you are getting married in Hawaii, then I would really consider dress number 2 because the first dress looks as if it would really uncomfortable in the Hawaiian heat.

I like Dress 1 but it seems a little bit too fancy for the type of wedding you are having, Dress 2, I really don’t like the layered look with all of that lace.

was that the whole option? i mean, dress #1 is soooo beautiful but i don’t thik either of them is suited for a beach wedding…. i was thinking shorther dress (like summer dress) and no train.

I am voting for dress number 2 for many of the same reasons other people have answered. Dress two is appropriate for a more casual setting. I think the spaghetti straps are **** and I think the tiers are more casual and appropriate for the other details you provided (like that your fiance is wearing khakis) and the simple bouquet and just all of it. Dress number 2 gets my vote by far as the winner given the other elements you provided. And if that is you wearing dress number two then you are a simply radiant bride. Congratulations and Best Wishes for the future.

I think that dress # 1 looks the best on you. It shows you in a more flattering aspect and lets your natural beauty shine through. My wife and I wish you many long years of happiness together !!!!

So you have narrowed it down to two since yesterday…. I am still not crazy about that second dress, but it is the right style for Hawaii… and the first dress is gorgeous but might be too much for a casual Hawaii wedding. I’d really suggest finding something similar to that second dress… I just don’t think it’s all that flattering. It looks more like a nightie and still reminds me of the layered skirts that we wore in the 80′s. If that’s the Alfred Angelo one, they have some better designs in that Destinations line. I think they even have one or two that have that same type of look as your first one

I think #2 would deffinately be more fitting for a beach. (More comfortable too).
Best of luck!

Lace and sand dont mix…. if you are having the wedding on a grassy peak overlooking the ocean…then i would go with #1. Just remember…they make glass out of sand. It will tear the lace apart.

I think they’re BOTH beautiful. But I’d go with # 1. Perfect, especially for a beach wedding.
Good luck, let us know which one you choose!

Dress #2 seems much more appropriate for a tropical beach wedding, especially with your groom in more casual attire. Dress #1 is lovely on you also, but seems much more formal, and seems to have a more substantial train which wouldn’t be fun to drag through the sand, nice for a church wedding if hubby was in a tux, but for Hawaii I would advise dress #2.
Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!!!

If these 2 are your only options…
Dress 1…it’s more elegant and fit for a wedding. The 2nd one seems short.
If you have other options…
The only thing about the 1st is the sand might get stuck on the trail. You also might want to look for a dress that’s not all lace because lace does not go with beach weddings as well as the groom’s attire. The lace effect is too heavy and formal for a groom who’s wearing white shirt and kakhi pants. You wouldn’t want to upstage your groom, do you?
I suggest a biased tube dress using chiffon with beadwork around the bust area to make it more elegant. You can add a trail coming from the back so that the it dances with the breeze.

I lived in Hawaii for several years. Managed to get invited to 2 weddings. The thought of your husband and best man wearing kah-combat fatuiges is totally embarrassing for a marriage. Move the wedding to Kentucky and then after the hoe down everyone can go coon hunting.
While our boys are in the middle east. The only combat clothing that is worn is at war. Not at a wedding…

if i would pic i would go with #2 i just got married 2 weeks ago and my dress kinda looked like that one!!

Create a video blog…instantly.
the one on the right is more appropriate, but I am not really crazy about it. I like the idea of the small veil or also a small floral wreath with your long hair flowing. Nice look. Bouquet, not too fussy and should be tropical type flowers of Hawaii. Try dessy.com. They have stunning destination semi formal wedding gowns that are awesome. Youthful, modern and just gorgeous. Have you tried destination wedding gowns on the wedding gown sites like gownfind.com? Also dillards.com, and jessicamcclintock.com. Get a cream colored unlined unstructured linen jacket for your fiance. It will look nicer in the photos I assure you. Then he can remove the jacket later. My advice to you is you have time, and to look further.

No question, number 1.
Is there any chance the groom would wear a tux?
He in a tux would go great with you in this gown!!!

Dress Two is more appropriate for a beach wedding, but I would even consider picking something even more “beachy” that won’t drag on the sand.
